Underwire pokes your armpit but the cups fit: width or height?

Armpit poking is often a wire-geometry problem, not a simple size problem.

Too tall

If the wire follows the breast root but continues upward into the armpit, compare shorter side wires and lower side wings.

Too wide

If the wire extends well behind breast tissue and then pokes, compare a narrower wire with more cup depth.

Too narrow can also hurt

A wire sitting on breast tissue can feel like side pain. Check where the tissue actually ends before deciding the wire is too wide.

Cup depth can move the wire

A shallow cup can push tissue outward and distort wire position. More depth may improve comfort without adding overall volume.

Use this as a next-test guide, not a promise. Brand patterns and labels vary. Change one variable at a time when possible.

What to do next

Use Bra Fit Rescue with the bra you have already tried. The tool combines band, cup, wire, center, strap, wear, and asymmetry signals rather than treating one symptom in isolation.
