Bra fit guide

Bra fit for a short torso: focus on height, not just size

A bra can have the right nominal volume and still take up too much vertical space.

Compare side-wire height

If the wire follows the breast root but continues into the armpit, shorter side wires and lower side wings are better variables to test than random downsizing.

Compare cup height

Full-coverage molded cups can gap near the strap or rub at the armpit on a shorter frame. Lower-coverage cuts may reduce unused height.

Check the gore

A very tall center gore can feel intrusive when there is limited vertical space or close-set tissue.

Do not downsize automatically

If the lower cup is filled, reducing volume can make the wire too narrow while the original height problem remains.

Use this as a next-test guide, not a promise. Brand patterns and labels vary. Change one variable at a time when possible.

What to do next

Use Bra Fit Rescue with the bra you have already tried. The tool combines band, cup, wire, center, strap, wear, and asymmetry signals rather than treating one symptom in isolation.
